🚂 One pattern, three ways
Shapes, table, graph: one pattern?
A tile train grows 2, 5, 8, 11. You can draw it, write it in a table, or plot it as dots on a graph. Are those three different patterns, or the same one dressed up?

A growing pattern can be drawn as shapes, written as a table of values, or plotted as points on a graph, and it’s the same pattern every time. Each row of the table is one step of the shapes, and each dot on the graph is one row of the table: step across, total up. The amount the pattern grows by shows up as the climb from one dot to the next.
