Reflex lab · experiment 1
How fast are you?
Scientists don't trust one try. Run ten. Then you'll have a pile of your own numbers, and you'll need a way to see them all at once.
Step 1 · Get your data
Tap the pad to start. It turns red: wait. The moment it goes green, tap as fast as you can (or press the space bar). The lab stopwatch ticks 100 times a second, so your score is how many ticks you took. Fewer ticks = faster.
Your taps, in the order they happened
Step 2 · File every tap by its tens
Each tap splits in two. The tens digit is the stem. The ones digit is the leaf. Tap the stem where the leaf belongs.

Step 3 · Tilt your notebook
Turn the page a quarter turn, so the stems run along the bottom. Look at what the leaves turn into.
Step 4 · Read your own results
Everything you need is on your plot. No more hunting through the jumble.
Experiment 2
Is your other hand slower?
Switch hands and run ten more. The lab files these ones for you, so you can put the two plots side by side.

Check the other scientists' notebooks
Each notebook has its raw numbers at the top. Some plots have one mistake: tap it. Some just need reading.
